SSE Renewables who bought Dunmaglass Wind Farm in May 2013will shortly begin the enabling works for the site and will contact residents in due course with updates on what to expect.
The wind farm site is located on Dunmaglass Estate approximately 25km south of Inverness. The proposal has been revised from 36 turbines to 33 taller wind turbines.
The hub height and height of the topmost blade tip of the proposed wind turbines have increased by 15m, to 80m and 125m respectively.
About 55 people will be employed during construction of the 400ft-high turbines, costing £70million to £100million, and the development will provide lasting community cash benefits, said developer Renewable Energy Systems.
