Project Info |
BECKTON: Could 'poo power' help heat the country? Human waste has long been seen as a by-product, but Thames Water claims it saved £15m last year, and generated 14% of its power, from either burning sludge or methane derived from its 13 million customers' toilets.
2OC's Fat-fuelled Power Plant, BECKTON OC, a green utility company based in the UK, is setting up a combined heat and intelligent power (CHiP) plant at BECKTON in east London. The plant will be located adjacent to the National Grid Gas Pressure Reduction Station
