The scheme will use solar photovoltaic (PV) technology, which silently converts sunlight into electricity over a 30-acres (12.3-hectare) site, generating a maximum of five megawatts (MW) of power each.

This scheme, along with our Summercourt project, was originally submitted into planning in early 2011 as a 5MW generator, but was withdrawn after the announcement of the UK Government's review of Feed in Tariffs.
After the delay caused by the review, and subsequent 72% reduction in the tariff this scheme was re-submitted into planning in June 2012, with planning permission being granted in October 2012.
Similarly to our project at Summercourt, this generator has had to be reduced in size from 5MW to 1MW owing to pressure on the local grid.
Construction started in February 2013, with completion and connection to the grid in March 2013.
