Developed and constructed by New World Power in 1995, Four Burrows was purchased by Renewable Energy Systems Ltd in 1997.

The wind farm began generating power in March 1995 and was originally contracted under the 1994 Non Fossil Fuel Obligation (NFFO). Output is now contracted under the Renewables Obligation.

RES enters PV market with first UK solar farm - FOUR BURROWS
The project represents the renewable energy giant’s first foray into the UK utility-scale PV market and is located next to the company’s FOUR BURROWS Wind Farm.

(2013) RES to add solar at FOUR BURROWS
RES has won a planning nod from Cornwall Council on plans to build a 6.3MW solar array next to its existing 4.5MW FOUR BURROWS wind farm.
