Windy Standard became fully operational in November 1996 and at the time was Scotlands second largest wind farm. It consists of 36 wind turbines each of 600 kilowatts (kW) maximum output, manufactured by Nordtank A/S of Denmark. The wind farm has a combined maximum power of 21.6 megawatts (MW).
