E.ON has submitted an application for it's 19 turbine Enoch Hill Wind Farm to Scottish Government. The wind farm, if constructed, will be located approximately 5km south-west of New Cumnock, and would be capable of producing up to 62.7MW of electricity. 13 Sep 2019 (Application Granted) The application confirms plans already laid out in scoping paperwork released this February and reported in the subscriber-only reNEWS, seeking consent to increase tip heights to 149.9 metres from 130 metres and rotor diameter to 136 metres from from 106 metres.
