The run of river scheme was completed in 2006 and is capable of generating 2.2MW of clean electricity, which is enough to supply approximately 2,000 households.
The scheme has a minimum 50 year design life, is powered by two Pelton turbines and consists of 6 intake weirs, a powerhouse and a buried pipeline, approximately 2km in length.
