BT has agreed a £300m deal to buy enough energy to meet the needs of all its Scottish operations for the next 20 years from Fallago Rig Wind Farm

Fallago Rig Wind Farm is a 48 wind turbine project in the Scottish Borders, owned by EDF Energy Renewables.

Construction work was completed in July 2013 and the project is now under Operational Control.

Wind turbine installation works commenced mid July 2012.
(November 2010) Developers North British Wind Power gained approval of the site.
"The local community are represented through the Tweed Forum, and a Fallago Rig environmental fund has been set up which will provide £240,000 each year of operation for local environmental improvements and sustainable development projects."

(July 2009) MoD drops objection to Fallago Rig wind farm plan; Objectors call for second Public Inquiry. This follows discussions with the Scottish Government’s Renewable Energy Division and applicant North British Windpower who are now confident that they have addressed any fears the MoD had about the 48 turbine development posing a threat to national security.

Emailed Comment: As the location is in a fold in the hills, the turbines on Fallago Rig will only be visible to the blackface sheep grazing there, and the shepherds and gamekeepers working on the moor.
Construction will begin in 2011 and it should be generating renewable energy within the next two year
