 Comment

ScottishPower Renewables is proposing to develop a 22 turbine windfarm called Ewe Hill.

6 Turbines approved 3MW each (Most likely Vestas or Siemens turbines)

An application for this development was considered by Dumfries and Galloway Council in February 2006 and the Council confirmed to Scottish Ministers that it had no objection to the proposal.

A previous application for 40 turbines on the Ewe Hill site was submitted in 2004 under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989. This was reduced to 22 turbines at therequest of the Ministry of Defence (MOD), due to potential effects on low flying aircraft.
