Westmill Wind Farm Co-op is the first onshore wind farm to be built in the south-east of England and is 100% Community Owned.
Work on the five turbine site at Watchfield, South Oxfordshire, started in August 2007 and was commissioned in March 2008. The wind farm produces enough green electricity to power more than 2,500 homes whilst saving the emissions of carbon dioxide.
