Allocated for employment use although apart from the development at BSW little further redevelopment has occurred on these railway sidings. Permission was granted for a biomass plant in this location but this has now expired. Dependent upon traffic generation and location of other facilities, this may have an impact on air quality in Stanwix.
Green recovery parks are suggested to be accommodated at Cummersdale, Kingmoor Estate and Kingmoor Marshalling Yards, which are the only sites large enough.
